Beautiful, soft, handwoven throw - perfect to wrap up in or lay across the end of the bed. All the wool from my sheep is processed in Cornwall; the chocolate brown yarn is the natural colour of my Castlemilk Moorit sheep and the turquoise is from my Portland sheep, dyed organically at the mill for me. After my sheep's fleeces are processed into a yarn perfect for making woven fabric, it goes to a wonderful, nostalgic weaving shed on Dartmoor where my blankets are handmade. This traditional herringbone design is combined with my organically dyed turquoise to create a contemporary twist. It creates a stunning and quite unusual blanket, with a fully traceable provenance; from my fields to your home.

Katie Allen of Loopy Ewes is a shepherdess/designer/maker working in The Cotswolds to produce an artisan textiles range that combines contemporary design with quality craftsmanship. She bought her first sheep six years ago, absolutely determined to work with their wool to produce an interiors collection with real provenance – her textiles can be traced from design, through her making process and right back to her very own flock of rare breed British sheep that graze the Cotswolds countryside.
