Barbara Yarde's pieces are influenced by her travels and everyday life. Taking inspiration from such places as India, Morocco, Egypt and London. These places have fuelled her imagination and influenced the jewellery; incorporating the different ideas to create timeless pieces that will be returned to time and time again.
" I honed my skills while studying jewellery and silversmithing at Sir John Cass University in London. As a trained goldsmith my attention to precision and detail is reflected in all my work. Each piece is handmade in my workshop in London, and I use mainly sterling silver, plated in 18ct gold, and a variety of techniques, combining this precious metal with traditional processes such as wax carving, Keum- Boo (fine gold fusing) and reticulation."
