Strike Head Necklace by Zincwhite
This unique piece is made from 5 of the strike heads taken from a
vintage typewriter, the parts of the machine that actually imprint the letters onto the page.
The listing is for a necklace with 5 letters, numbers or symbols of our choice and although it is therefore likely to differ from the ones shown in the picture, will still be an
equally striking piece.
The heads are mounted on a stainless steel tiger tail with screw clasp.
Material: recycled typewriter, glass beads, steel tiger tail
Size: 45 cm –18” tiger tail with 1.8 cm –¾” long strike heads

Lidia and Paul are Zincwhite, an upcycling project based in Huddersfield. Combining our fine art and architecture backgrounds along with our passion for environmental issues, we design and handcraft jewellery and fashion accessories from waste materials.
We use recycled Derwent colouring pencils for our colourful range of jewellery. Cufflinks, rings, earrings and hairclips are also upcycled from vintage typewriter components, bags are reconstructed from shirts and coffee sacks, bracelets are reworked from broken camera lenses and necklaces are created from trashed artist’s paintbrushes.
